How We Test Rackets
Our Principles
MySweetSpot accepts no free products, sponsorships, or payments from manufacturers. Every racket we review is purchased independently or borrowed from club players. Our ratings reflect genuine on-court experience — not spec-sheet comparisons or manufacturer claims.
How We Select Rackets
We focus on rackets available in India via Amazon.in, Flipkart, or authorised dealers. We prioritise models with sufficient search volume and buyer interest, and we retire reviews when products are discontinued or unavailable for more than 3 months.
Testing Process
- Minimum 6 hours of on-court testing per racket across multiple sessions
- Tested by players matching the target skill level of each review
- All rackets tested with the same shuttle type and string tension where possible
- Specs verified against manufacturer documentation and physical measurement
- Pricing checked weekly against Amazon.in and updated as needed
Rating System
All rackets are rated on a 10-point scale. Each review specifies its own rating criteria and weights — because the right criteria for a budget beginner racket differ from an attacking intermediate one. The criteria and their weights are always shown transparently in the "How We Rated" section of each review.
Common criteria include: Speed/Maneuverability, Control, Power, Comfort, Durability, and Value for Money. Not all criteria appear in every review.
Affiliate Links
MySweetSpot participates in the Amazon Associates (India) and Flipkart Affiliate programmes. When you click a "Check Price" or "Buy Now" link and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence our ratings or recommendations.
